Visit to Melaka would incomplete without trying Nyonya Foods. Therefore, we planned to have our lunch at Restaurant Nyonya Makko before our journey back to KL. The restaurant is located further down from Hotel Fenix Inn. The restaurant was full house at the time we arrived and there are people already waiting outside the restaurant for their turn. Staff in charge will write down your name on the paper and once there is an empty table, she will call you in for your turn. The restaurant serves a variety of Nyonya Foods and desserts. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy. I ordered the famous Sambal Sotong Petai, Udang Masak Lemak Nenas, Asam Pedas Fish, Pong teh Chicken, and Cendol.

SUN MAY HIONG SATAY HOUSE @ Jalan Kota Laksamana, Melaka is the Best Place to have Pork Satay!

Satay is a common food in Melaka so there is no surprise that this state has the most Pork Satay restaurants. Besides the meat being used, one major difference in Pork Satay (aka Nyonya Satay) is the peanut dip which is usually mixed with a dollop of pineapple sauce. Sun May Hiong is definitely one of the most popular restaurants in Melaka that specializes in Pork Satay.

LALA CHONG @ Kampung Kayu Ara~ The Lala Shellfish Specialty Restaurant!

Lala Chong Seafood Restaurant at Kampung Sungai Kayu Ara is one of our favorite Chinese seafood restaurant in Petaling Jaya. Before this, the restaurant was operating near Subang Airport. Lala Chong Seafood Restaurant is a big standalone one floor building, it’s just a stone throw away from where me and my colleagues play badminton on every Tuesday. It has air-con room and open space as the photo below. Personally we prefer the open area as the air-con room can get noisy when there are many customers discussing their daily life with family or friends.
